Troy
Ooo what fun. Send us pics asap! I'm calling Tony today about adding a small section off the back of 2 of the panels - for newbies and/or sick birds! It was hubbys idea. Really! I was only ever wishing for it. Our daughter wants a white silkie to call Mozzarella and I can feel more Pekins coming along..... Oh dear.. we're chicken mad now! Moonie
Come on...I'm curious now. Spill the beans. Tell us how, why, and when you 'borrowed' Moonie!! troy Ok so i blatently stole them then!!! I heard through a friend that this woman had some kittens in horrible conditions, they were covered in fleas, ticks, skinny and her kids were seen throwing them around in the garden. SO i snuck into the porch where they were kept 'borrowed' them and walked away ...cool as a cucumber. They now live with my parents, as i already have 3 (rescue) cats, and are very happy! Moonie
Oh yes and i 'borrowed' a hamster from my neighbour when i was a little girl. I felt the little boy didn't clean it out enough, so she moved into my bedroom!!!

clueless chick
great pics i have joined the forum at the end of July and have just made our girls a stationary area, my husband and I were fed up of moving the cube and run every time they removed the grass. We have put bark and woodchips in the run. What is it you have used? it looks alot nicer, also Molly our cat is still not happy with the new arrivals, wondering how long it will last

Troy
Hi all Just got back from a fantastic trip to Cyprus and thankfully found all the girls very, very happy with all the neighbourly attention they have been getting!! I'm pleased to report that we managed to humanely trap a feral young cat that decided to plonk herself onto a busy road outside our hotel! She was a rake when we first spotted her but managed to sort of befriend her with 2 meals a day placed under some trees. We have paid for her neutering and is now ready for fostering/adoption. (run by a great english lady there) Since returning we've been told that she has now become the most cuddly, soppy creature you could imagine.....and we are very, very pleased. Thank you for those last few posts guys! In answer to those qs, the girls are on Aubiose and have been on the same floor run since the end of May. We pick up poos quite often and have yet had no need to change it. Its only been topped up with less than half a bale since. So although initially pricey its very cost effective. clueless chick, it need to be covered as it soaks up rain/water big time thats the only thing. And yes the girls are let out everyday from the afternoon onwards - their favorite 'scratch pad' being under the 200 yr old Oak tree we have at the bootom of the garden! Still I dont think they'll be digging that up too soon!! Troy
