Ardene5
Hi Everyone Can any one help us as one of our remaining ex battery hens has got watery poo and it is yellow in colour. We had her to the vet but they are not up to much had to ask for antibiotics for her, we just wondered if she has a chill. She is in the conservatory at the moment in at very large dog cage and our boxer dog is like a nurse maid to her leting us know if she is out of water etc. Any help would be appeciated. Thank you. Egluntyne
Have you wormed her? If not, it might be worth doing. For the time being I'd keep her on just pellets, a bit of probiotic yoghurt, some Bokashi Bran if you've got some, and water. No treats or veg. If she is no better in a few days it might be worth taking her to the vet, especially if she seems dehydrated, ie comb flopping over, weak and lethargic.
