spratly0
One of my pepperpots, Ursula has been laying for 9 days now Yay! she lays every morning between 9.00 and and 10.30. though today did not lay until around 1 pm, is this normal? On one of my many visits to the run today at 4.45 pm i thought that i would just check the nest box and there was a 2nd egg!! I think it must have come from Mae my 2nd pepperpot as the gingers are 2 weeks younger. I guess my question is will they synchronize themselves or will i just have to keep checking through the day? Don't get me wrong i don't mind it was a lovely surprise - was just wondering
cluckbok
You will just have to keep a check throughout the day. Ours get a bit later each day. Today Rosie laid hers by 9.00am and Matilda has just laid hers about 10 mins ago. You will tend to know which hen lays when, Rosie is always in the morning and Matilda afternoons. Times always vary, nothing to worry about.

Stevie
It takes them 25 hours to create an egg so their laying time will get later and later each day.Mine generally have a day off from laying eggs every 3 weeks.
