lisa33
We got a Dualit for a house warming present and it's fantabulous.
Ain't Nobody Here
I ended up getting this one. I wanted to see the toasters in the flesh so checked them out at Comet and compared their prices with Argos. The levers on this one felt more substantial than the others, and also it was the smallest of the 4-slice toasters (I have a fairly small space to put it in). I bought it at Comet for £35 but Argos is £5 cheaper (so much for my plan, I only realised afterwards ). So far I'm really pleased with it - it toasts well and evenly, feels solid and well made and looks good too.
Cate in NZ
The choice of toasters on the market is amazing....and confusing I really hadn't realised that there were quite so many toasters out there . I've coveted a Dualit for years, but could never justify the expense, so we've got a 4 slice Tefal one, had it around 6 years or so and it does the job fine. But it's impossible to clean. There are 6 year old crumbs sitting at the bottom of it that I just can't remove, even with regularly upending it and shaking and bashing it over the sink, or poking things in it to try and dislodge the stuck crumbs . I do unplug it before I try any crumb removal tactics though I hope that you're happy with your new toaster ANH, and that it makes perfect toast
chickencam
Thanks ANH That looks as good as any and the fact that is fairly compact is good too, because, we don't have much space either. Does it toast the taller breads like the Warburtons Toastie which my OH is so fond of? Our old one would not get to the top of slices like that so they had to be turned upside down for a while too
Ain't Nobody Here
Now this is spooky . Guess what loaf I bought this afternoon (never bought one before but it was the last one in the newsagent!) . So, yes, Warburton's toastie bread does fit (long ways) .
