A chickychickychick-ENN!!
Can anyone tell me what colour eggs I will get from my chickens? I am getting: A Fenning Sussex (Sussex hybrid) A Fenning Cou Cou A Mendlesham Blue A Fenning Black I have had a bit of a google, and all I can find for the coucou is a recipe for cooking it in apple cider. Not going to happen! It's a bit The black has a lot of gingery gold feathers in it which are a bit Sebrightey, but less defined than a Sebright, and some lovely black to greeny bits. The Sussex will lay white, won't it? And I am clueless about blues. Any advice gratefully received! Thanks! Anna x
daisymay
I don't know about all your egg colours, but I get brown eggs from my fenning cou cou. I was told they would be very dark but they are just slightly darker than a normal egg. I was told the fenning cou cou is a maran hybrid, don't know if that's right? I am hoping for a sky blue egg from my lawford blue. Don't know if your blue is the same? You'll get a lovely surprise when they start laying won't you....how exciting! A chickychickychick-ENN!!
Yes the coucou looks a bit marany. It is quite eggciting. Do you get GREEN eggs from two of your hens? Who lays greenies? That's very cool! Anna x
