spring cleaning your cube - advice?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys..

Took advantage of a rare sunny day and blitzed the cube.. took as much apart as I could and washed it on the lawn with ecover washing up liquid. I washed the inside with the same stuff, and crawled in a put a bucket under the holes... how does everybody else do this or is it OK to let the water drain into the run??

Also I've heard of people power washing.. do they do this to the inside and if so how do you dry it????

Haven't got Poultry Shield yet, but should I get some to squirt about?

Thanks

kay

That's about the ONLY thing I don't like about the Cube - the water drains through into the run. I'm afraid I just let it drain - can't get a bucket in there without dismantling the whole blummin' thing. I don't think it hurts as long as your run is fairly dry anyway.

I just rake the bedding away from the underside of cube and then let it drain into run.. Mine's on earth so on a hot day it dries up fairly quickly.. I just push bedding back afterwards.. or replace depending on what week it is

I have to say it had never crossed my mind to put a bucket under.. I'll try that next time!
