Runny, black poo...

Recommended Posts

Well, this has been going on for the best part of a week. It only seems to be happening to Dolly and she is broody more often than not, so her laying is erratic at the best of times.

Her poo ranges from sloppy (at best) to water - all of it jet black. When she is broody, she produces mammoth amounts of very normal poo.

She is completely normal in every other way though. They don't have that many treats - cabbage, raisins/dried fruit etc - nothing too out of the ordinary.

We have just changed them over to organic layers mash whereas they've all been on pellets for the last 2-3 months. Could that be it?? :?

I mix worm pellets in with their food - haven't done it for a while though. Might be time to do it again.

They had mash before and the only reason they didn't have it again last time was I couldn't get it. This time I bought the organic mash (the first feed I bought and , I beleive, what they had always eaten prior to us owning them).
