My sister just got home from a day of antique shopping and brought a copy of "Poultry Tribune" published in April 1938 and sold for 10cents. While flipping through I came across an advert for Rhode Island Reds $43.50 for 500 birds....Can someone build me a time machine.

I got some 'country smallholding' magazines from freecycle recently, some of them date back to 1999 and it's really interesting to scan the ads. I could have bought a huge poultry shed for what I paid for my little coop!
