poachedegg Posted September 6, 2008 Share Posted September 6, 2008 (edited) We have been and got 2 gorgeous GP's.....even OH thinks they look cute! A brownish ginger one which our DD has called Fudge and one that is half white, half ginger who she has called Cookie. We think they are about 12 wks. Got them from a lady on Preloved - was very surprised on how many she keeps in each hutch. There were about 5 different hutches/runs with about 7 or 8 in each. She said some had mites and some also looked like they may have been fighting. The hutch we picked ours from, the males and females had not been separated, so hopefully we won't get any surprises! She ended up giving us them for free as there is a chance that they may have mites.....we felt in the end we were rescuing(sp?) them to be honest. The non payment was at her suggestion, so don't know if she was feeling guilty. She was a nice lady but she has started a new job working away a lot and I think things had got on top of her. We have never had GP's before, however have done loads of research and most things I had read about didn't seem to being adhered to today.......perhaps I am being a little naiive? Presumably she's advertising them for sale? If you think they're being mistreated or even just neglected, perhaps you could tell someone? Don't know who though .
