Phosphorus
Roast my current broody hen lays huge eggs occasionally 100g and higher - she lays massive poos too. Sounds like you are in for some huge eggs

abwsco
Perhaps it was the first poo of the day. Mine leave some that elephants would be proud of sometimes - lol

Aga n Chickens
Hello Just read this. Luckily our frequent broody has not gone broody this month. Only had the chickens since Easter and Rene has been broody 3 times and out of laying for 2 weeks each time. On her broody days I've had to lift her out of the nest box on my return from work knowing that she has been there all day and needs to eat and drink. Within 5 minutes of leaving the nest box and stretching her legs, she deposits a tennis ball sized poop, bless her she must hold on and not want to mess up the nest box ! Kind regards Christine
