egglu on sloping garden?

Recommended Posts

ours is on a slope. we have put it on slabs and put more bricks under one side to even it out so it lies flat and the run lies flat too - important to ensure it remains fox-resistant. we weigh down the skirt of the run with potplants. the girls seem happy enough that the rest of their world is on a slope!

It depends what you mean by sloping? Ours is on a bit of a slope and it isn't a problem. In fact, I wasn't aware it was sloping until we put the Eglu on it. So maybe your slope is more than ours!

Only problem is that you can't fill up the water container to the top or it runs out one end. But it's not a big problem.

Hello all,

Am hoping to get chickens for our garden... but wonder if the egglu will be OK on a sloping garden? Has anyone tried this?

Our garden slopes and the ground is not very level. I bought the Omlet pegs which keep the skirt of the run flat on the ground, otherwise a fox might have been able to dig in.
