Butty
Hi there Have noticed that quite a few people are having problems with sneezing chooks. Bee started sneezing and making odd noises yesterday and Floss has started today. We introduced 4 new chooks last Saturday (6Th) could they have brought something in? Will try some of the ideas from other posts. Already add spice to their mash every other day. They are both eating and laying as usual it's just the odd noises that are disconcerting. Thanks
Egluntyne
Try some Citricidal if you can get hold of some. It works a treat.
ValR
I've been putting citracidal into the water for 2 weeks now and my gingernut is still sneezing. Someone suggested that the chooks may not like the bitter taste, so I should maybe dilute it more. They're also getting poultry spice, probiotic yoghurt and bokashi bran (which certainly cleared up their yellow poo!).
Egluntyne
A few drops per full glug is all it takes. The recommendation on the Omlet website is 2 drops per pint. It is very bitter.
