Hello everyone

We have had an idea for perches which we would like to pass on.

Yes there is the normal branches for trees but we wanted something

to sit on whilst we were with them in the run.

What we have found is the old fashion wooden folding seats works

wonders we can used them when in and the hens can when we aren't.

Found them at an army surplus and outside clothing store

Those look brilliant, I've been looking for ideas for a seat or bench for them to perch on, the garden benches some folk have I don't have the room for in my run.

 

These take up a lot less space and are really cheap, thanks for the info

Wooden chairs are great shapes for chickens, and they'll love perching on the seat and back rest. The only problem is possibly of hygiene. Droppings will accumulate in all the little gaps, so you should probably chemically clean it fairly regularly (for red mite even if nothing else).
