First BIG egg and a soft shell

Recommended Posts

any softie that my girls have laid have usually had something inside, but I have to confess the girls have eaten some of them (shell and all!!) so unless there is no tear in the soft shell they have probably eaten it.

If they're new to laying it takes a while for the egg-laying tackle to get going and they lay some funny eggs for a little while (I learnt everything I know from Egluntine!!!)

I must say I love your girls' names, everyone is so much more imaginative than me.

Yes but if your hens have normal names, you don't sound so nuts talking about them in the supermarket.

You don't have Spanish people giving you funny looks when you mention Una Paloma Blanca.

And most importantly of all, you don't have fans of the film Withnail and I coming up to you and saying: 'We want the finest wines available to humanity. We want them HERE and we want them NOW!' As Withnail and 'I' did to the ladies, one of whom is Miss Blenner-Hassett, in the Penrith Tea Rooms. Along with: 'We'll buy this coop and knock it down!'

You can see what I mean on youtube if you search for 'withnail tearoom'.

All of my eggs apart from the beach ball one have been normal. I want one like the 'weird egg' in the gallery on here. The one that looks like a k"Ooops, word censored!"bly corkscrew. That's amazing.
