Heating in the Winter

Recommended Posts

Nothing needed.

They will be fine. The eglu is warm in winter and cool in summer. Their feathery duvets give them all the protection they need.

Only precaution you need to take for winter is to get a run cover. The Omlet ones are OK but not brill IMO. So I have a shower curtain on top held down with bungee cords. In really filthy wet weather it a) keeps them dry and b) protects the ground from becoming a bog.
