AnnieR
I saw this posted about hen rescue on another site, and thought some of you may be interested. Lots of ex batts to be rescued by October. http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/chatter/display_topic_threads.asp?ForumID=2&TopicID=163953&PagePosition=
gooner.girl
Why don't you write back and suggest they get in touch with the BHWT (www.bhwt.org.uk) I work as a volunteer for the Essex rescue and we often go as far as Norfolk for hens and Jean (the co-ordinator) is wanting to do a rescue before November but can't find a farm that is getting rid before them. Snowy
Trouble is they are from a free range farm, so BHWT may not be so keen to commit resources
gooner.girl
Hmmmm didn't read it properly Snowy but Jean may be keen anyway - we have lots of prospective owners and no farm in near future. It might be worth a punt even if we could just push some prospective customers her way rather then rescue them ourselves.
