My veg plot is now dead.

 

Can I feed the chooks things like aubergine and tomato plant stems and leaves?

 

I also have chilli plants but fear that may be a bad plan!

I WOULD MAYBE FOLD THE HENS AND ALLOW THEM TO CLEAR THE PLOT GRADUALLY- THE HENS WILL BE SELECTIVE OF THE CHILLI PLANTS THEY ARE A GREAT LITTLE HARROWS AND EAT ALL THE NEMATODES....

ive been told tomato plants aint very good for the chickens?

i have a rir who keeps having a sneaky peck at them and it makes her runny poos. was advised to move them form her not let he rnear them as thay aint good for them

My chooks eat all the spent runner bean/french bean plants and carrots that have gone over. Hubbie wanted to compost them but I've told him to leave them be and I pull up a few every day for the chooks.

 

They scratch up the earth beautifully clearing it of weeds.

 

Not sure if tomato leaves are good for them. However, we have dead Tumbling Toms in hanging baskets and I put one on the lawn for them yesterday and they pecked off all the last few tomatoes and didn't eat the brown foliage.
