Patridge bantam chicken poorly foot?

Hello,

 

My girls are currently fighting over a dead frog. I don't know whether they've found it dead in the garden or have savagely murdered it themselves. Has anyone come across this before? It's putting me off the thought of eggs to be honest and they won't let me anywhere near it to take it off them.

Yes...it is not unusual.

 

They often eat frogs and fledglings that come their way.

 

Think of it as extra protein.

Mine caught a frog the other Sunday. I was alerted by the frog screaming - yes screaming for its life! I rushed out a prized it out of Honeysuckle's beak and it hopped away - hope it was ok.
