Single hen

i have no growers pellets just got 2 6-8 week old bantams and have nothing to feed them. im getting pellets on wednesday and have nothing to feed them in the meantime. is there some sort of temporary substitute i could find around the house? for the moment ive been feeding them weetabix.

Oh dear.....you should always plan ahead.

 

You will be able to go out tomorrow and find some growers pellets from a smallholding or farm shop.

 

For today I would mix some layers pellets and a sugar and salt free breakfast cereal half and half and make do with that.

i did a stupid thing and ordered a huge £20 sack on ebay that wont get here till wednesday

You can't be sure that it will arrive on Wednesday tbh. You should really try and find a small sack of growers pellets, ideally tomorrow and cut your losses. Do you have any hen keeping contacts locally who could help you out.

Are you able to get some growers pellets tomorrow?

 

If not, then I have some that I can send to you first thing in the morning. They won't arrive until Tuesday but they would tide you over until your sack came and would put your mind at rest.

 

Let me know before 5ish as I wil package them up and ask my Dad to take them home with him and send them in the morning (I have school tomorrow, like you).

i live in essex in epping if you could send me some pellets that would be so kind as the breeder is about an hour or so drive we live in a town with a limited supply of farms around so we cant just pop down and get some. weve just been feeding them weetabix for 2 days its not ideal and im getting really worried about them
