Single hen

BF just phoned we have our first egg, second really but 1st one was 4 weeks ago & the day she arrived.

 

BF says it is an odd shape & has blood on it is this normal?

 

1 chicken down 9 to go so best not get too eggsited.

Sometimes eggs have a little blood streaked on the shell, it comes from breakage of a small blood vessel. One of my hens lays eggs with blood on them occasionally, it is worth having a quick peek at her vent just to make sure that all looks normal because they can sometimes have a prolapse which would need immediate attention as it can lead to serious injury through the others pecking at it but these are fairly rare.
