I think its a bit like how we all think our friends are really attractive? (well I do anyway!!)

 

before I had a white leghorn I didnt like floppy combs; now I just think she's a very funny bird, runs very fast and lays lovely eggs.

before I had the silkies, I thought they were just a bit silly; now I think they are amazingly cute (though their wings do look a bit pathetic when they stretch out).

before I had a sussex, I thought they were a bit too big; now I think they are good solid girls who lay well.

before I had a bluebell, I didnt know what one was; got 2 and thought they were the most beautiful birds on the earth; now I think I prefer pure breeds!!! (fickle, moi?)

before I had a maran, I thought they were lovely; and I still do.

 

so many breeds, so little time... I do think I am a pure breed girl rather than a hybrid lover tho.
