Omletina Kyckling
OK, I confess, I'm not very good when it comes to literature but I think I have excelled myself.... Everybody was talking the other week about Tess of the D'Urbervilles, and I decided not to watch it as I'd seen an adaptation some years ago and it was very miserable and depressing which isn't good when you're on your own, and hubby is overseas etc...... So I've not been watching it, then I noticed a repeat of episode 3 on the other day so watched a bit of it. I have to confess, it didn't seem very familiar but I assumed I must have dozed off through that bit the last time I watched it.... Tonight, the last episode was on. I was watching a Poirot on the other side, but I thought, I'll channel zap so I see the ending, which I seemed to remember was miserable but quite well done the last time....I kept changing over in the adverts and was puzzled by how dry everything seemed, but thought the rain will come soon....I was also puzzled by the lack of mill but again thought soon soon.....then I turned on again and they were at Stonehenge, strange I thought, don't remember that, and it was still so dry.....I saw the end and it wasn't at all how I remembered.....I just rang my mum and asked her about it and it turns out I was just a little confused.....with The Mill on the Floss by George Elliot It was still quite miserable though, wasn't it?
