blackgold
Our chickens are free range in the fenced garden. They have a border collie who keeps them safe from foxes and will herd them together if asked. The chickens all seem to like him and will feed quite happily by the side of him. he will lie down and watch them if they are reasonably close together. i would love to add pictures on here but cant work out how to do it. do other people have hen herding dogs? mrsallen08
My dog, Monty, will herd the chickens and our rabbits. Not in a very controlled way but he has never hurt them and is always careful! Once they are penned in he likes to lick the rabbits through the bars! Very daft. I wouldn't leave him unsupervised with them out as you just never know!!! He is only 1 year old now, so still likes to be a little sneak!
