HENthusiastic
HI. I'm a bit worried about my buttercup. Her and another of my girls was ill recently, all my girls were all put on antibiotic and a wormer and vitamins for the water. They have recovered and are perky and eating well now. I'm slightly worried about buttercup though because where she sleeps there is always a wet patch in the morning and her droppings are a bit runny. She seems in very good health in every other way though. I'm thinking that as shes eating, drinking and scratching well that everything is okay. But still slightly worried. (We have been weighing her regulalry and she has steadily been putting weight on since being ill). She is loosing some feathers and hasn't laid an egg since being ill (but was never a great layer anyway). Should I be taking her back to the vet or is everything okay? Egluntyne
If she seems well in other respects, why not try her with some Bokashi bran and Avippro, to get some friendly bacteria into her gut. Could be that the recent meds have knocked things awry a bit. You could also try probiotic yoghurt too. If in doubt though....take her to the vet.
