Just been to Tescos in Aylesbury, they have 5 energy saving light bulbs for 40p, yes 40p!!!!!! They have bayonet and screw fittings.

Not sure if this offer is on at all stores but it may be worth giving your store a ring to see if they have the offer.

 

I think I have bought enough to see me into retirement.
