PurpleHen
I am so proud! I started off by planting 6 courgette seeds - only 3 of these ever made it to seedlings, one of which never got past that stage - so I planted two into a grow bag - and within a week was only left with one plant However - what a plant! I now have a huge courgette plant and I grew it straight from seed - first time I have ever done that! So I had my first two at the weekend - roasted - they were lovely
Mrs Frugal
Congratulations ! I'm envious as no matter how I try, courgettes don't like my garden no matter how much I love them! Lovely roasted, aren't they - my youngest has just decided they are his favourite vegetable other than peas straight from the pod !
Cinnamon
I am well into the annual courgette glut now This year its worse than ever as I stuck a few more plants in,just because I couldn't give them away to anyone,& they have gone mad!!! They actually look fab in what was a neglected corner - all big spikey laevs & bright flowers So we have ratatouile tonight & courgette & parmesan quiche tomorrow Do hens like raw courgettes does anyone know?
