Topdollar
Nice story with a happy ending I'm dreading the day my cockeral finds it's voice but I'm hoping my neighbours will be simpathetic. I've read somewhere that he will only crow first thing in the morning when we let the chooks out, so I'm going to leave it till 07:30 and hope everyone is awake and getting ready for work. HnM
OOer, be careful with cockerels. They are a "noise nuisance per se" in urban areas, so if your neighbours do complain to the local authority you don't have a defence; even if they are good / quiet / only crow at 7am... Topdollar
Cockerels crow all day from sun up, everyday, Topdollar. this was the first post from you that I hoped was wrong but bahhhh......you where right again Jerry found his voice yesterday morning at 0530......... According to my Neighbour he continued off and on all day and gave me a welcoming crow when I got back from work. He didn't start till 0630 this morning as I left for work a little later. I'm hoping the neighbours will be sympathetic as I've grown quite attached to him as have the girls who huddle round him in a big circle at night.
