quinlan
I'm going to do my first big clean (old aubiose out, lovely clean fresh in!!!) but am unsure what to put down first. I've ordered some stalsan as the run is on slabs but there are gaps between the slabs(drainage) of about half an inch so should I use garden lime as well??? I'm loving, loving, loving having chickens!!!
Cinnamon
Well, it won't harm. I tend to use whatever is at hand, & generally try to chuck down Staloslan & lime. Some Lime between the slabs would probably be a good idea
Joanne
Am about to do mine for the first time too. With salostan, do you just sprinkle over the ground and leave it on top, then put the aubioseon down? nor does it have to be dug in?Help! moomin
You shouldn't need to dig it in, I normally just sprinkle it on the ground (the tub should have the ratio per square metre), and squish it round with a broom. Sometimes it comes out a bit lumpy so this gets rid of the lumps. Then put the aubiose down on top
