cam1
Hi wonder if any one has any tips. For the last 10 days or so we have only been getting 1 egg a day prev had been having 2. Had put it down to our worsening weather, fireworks etc. Both chickens seemed fine had been keeping close eye. Spied dirty bot on velma (only once where her feathers were soiled). They both seem in fine fettle enjoying freeranging. We got them in late august so was just going to worm them anyway. Today as well as normal egg there was a softie in the tray (1st ever) and also spied some worms in there . Have ordered some flubenvet as research on here seems to show it is reliable. My main prob is how is the easiest way to give it if they turn their noses up at grapes? tried them again today but they were not impressed. Should i make some porridge that they do like and give it to them 1 at a time so they both get a correct dose? Thanks cam mya velma
bigmommasally
I gave it to my girls in their morning porridge as they all love it. I mixed the dose for all 5 in with the porridge and relied on the assumption that the larger hens eat more and therefore get the correct dose for their size. They all seem okay so don't think anyone was over or under dosed.
Egluntyne
Strictly speaking it should be mixed with their pellets. That way they get the correct dose as they eat according to their age and weight.

bluekarin
I hadn't tried grapes with my girls before so I decided to measure out the full amount of the Flubenvet for the weeks course, and with every afternoon treat I mix in a small amount. It seems to work so I hope this is ok.
