Cinnamon
Our Poland cockerel Indiana used to have a rather splendid quiff of feathers all over his head. But over the last couple of weeks he has developed a nasty bald spot right on top (think a monk hair style) & looking at it closely (hard because he attacks me ) it is alos sore & red & a little bloody. Any ideas why this could be & what we can do to help him recover his crowning glory? He was deloused with Eprinex 2 weeks ago, which I do regularly as I know Polands can get 'head lice'
Janty
Hard to say, I know, as we are comparing a poland to a RIR miniature but this is what Gerrard looked like when her head was sore. I was convinced that it was dry pox but the vet said that it was an injury such as being pecked. When we observed her closely, she had been picking on the full sized brahmas and they automatically went for the easiest target...her head. By the way, sorry it's blurred.
