cute-chickens
Our girls arrived on June 21 and two weeks later we had our first egg (from Matilda). Maisie added her contribution 10 days' later and so we were a "two egg" family. Penny held out for another couple of weeks and then laid her first egg (at a very acceptable 42g). Immediately Penny started laying the other two stopped. We were away overnight last weekend and my sister (in charge of looking after the chooks) mistakenly fed them their entire week's ration of sweetcorn over 2 days. Ever since this, all the chooks stopped laying. Are we doing something wrong?
Lesley-Jean
Get them back on a proper diet again and I'm sure they will settle down to laying in no time. If they were pigging on sweetcorn they would not have been getting enough protein for egg laying
