4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

Have been loving having the chickens which arrived mid October. Last Wednesday Coco the laid her first egg (60g) in the nesting box Since then nothing ... I was beginning to get worried but have just been out and found a warm egg in the nest Is it normal for there to be gaps of several days at this time of year?

 

The other two are crouching so fingers crossed we will have lots of lovely eggs soon!

I have to say if I laid an egg I wouldn't be in a hurry to produce another one!

 

Mine all started to lay in fits and starts, biggest gap between eggs has been eight days.

Totally normal for there to be gaps in between. Your girls are getting used to laying, and also we have got the lowest levels of daylight of the year at the moment. They will get into rythm naturally as they mature and spring comes around.
