Ginger, one of my brown hybrids has started crouching when I approach her... and is also getting very vocal!

 

I am hoping we might get our first egg pretty soon!

I loved that moment, when they first started to crouch, and you know not long before your first "home made" boiled egg!!

I've had a croucher for 2 weeks, but no egg yet! I virtually only have to look at her for her to crouch; she seems completely desperate for some male attention. [What a Hussy ]. Yesterday her sister joined in the crouching, but still no action - the suspense is killing me! Today, when cleaning the hen house, croucher No 1 got in there with me, which is a first, so I know she's very very nearly ready, but I do wish she'd hurry up!
