Hello,

 

I've had my girls for three weeks, and we have room for up to two more girls, can anyone give me some tips on introducing new girls. Mine are aged between 16 and 21 weeks and we have had them for three weeks.

as slowly as possible - it took me 3-4 weeks to integrate them. Am not techy enough to guide you to the useful threads but am sure someone will be along soon to do it. Good luck

we bought three new girls home today, the supplier reccomend that we lwet the "see each other during the day and then add the new hens into the cube after the others had gone to bed, when we went to do this, we found that one of the new girls was already in bed with the old ones. Fingers x'd they will be OK with each other tomorrow, although Im sure they will be a bit of fighting whilst the new order is established.

Do it very slowly, seperate them by a fence and feed treats alond the fence line so they get used to the sight of each other. It may take weeks but this is much better than having any pecking or injuries to sort out. Once they are ready to integrate they will let you know and merge themselves into a group.
