KateH Posted January 21, 2009 Share Posted January 21, 2009 Hello, I got my two girls in October at about 18 weeks old. The speckledy grew a lovely red comb and started laying in December (yay!) but my other, a bluebell, doesn't seem to want to join in! She went a little redder around the face and one side has a little wattle coming but nothing has changed for about a month now and I was just wondering, will she eventually get there when the days are longer or are there some hens that never come into lay?! Also, I want to thank everyone for all the great advice I've received over the last few months, chicken keeping has really turned into an addiction for me and I've already got my eye on a cube and more girls!
