Margalot
Hello, We have had another first egg from Midnight our Black Rock, well we have assumed its hers as she was crouching most lately! It was brown, 57g! (wow that was a suprise as Bon Bons are aroung the 50-52g) but it had white speckles on the outside? as if it was calcium spots? I boiled it for my brekkie it was such a dark golden yolk and when it was cooking the speckles disapeared from the shell......is this a normal egg? It was absolutley delicious by the way. 2 eggs on one day the excitment was almost too much god knows how many people I will text when there is one from each of them! Michelle I had this too today, though I'm not sure from which hen it came. I'm afraid I don't know what it is. But I have a feeling that it is the same as the white stuff that sometimes covers their poos; their equivalent of pee? I'd be very interested to find out for sure. [edit] and we both had this on the same day?! A freak of the weather, perhaps?!!
