Poached
hi i am thinking about putting a extention onto my eglu but will i need to buy a converter and an extension to extend it or can i buy the coverter and put the door section on the converter and not need to worry about the extension to make it longer [btw sorry if this causes confusion] thanks josh
alet_chicken
Hi Josh, you can fit the door section directly onto the run converter. The converter extends the run by about 1m, so there is no need to get an extension unless you want to extend the run by more than 1m. The eglu run is kind-of conical in shape, and the run converter tapers this shape into a half-cylindrical one. The idea is that further extensions can then all be the same size, and don't have to be successively bigger. Hope this makes some sense at least If you like, I can take a picture of our eglu (with converter but no extension) to give you an idea of how it works? Hen Watch
I have an eglu too. I bought the converter. The converter is 1 meter long and that will extend your run on its own. You unclip the front door panel from your standard run, clip the converter on and then put the door panel back on the front. That is what I have. This is my eglu + std run + converter. If you then need an even longer run, after that you buy an extension. Not sure why they don't call it extension part 1 and part 2. But never mind. alet_chicken
Hen Watch, you have exactly what we have (down to the colour of the eglu!).
