potential poo problem

Recommended Posts

Hello, Im sorry to bring the subject up again!! :lol:

Some of my girls are doing lots of curry poos, one is doing them almost always now and today I saw one very bright yellow one before she did another darker one,yuk!!

previous to this I noticed they were sniffly and found some poo with blood in,but this has stopped now. All my hens affected are laying and nearly a year old.

They are normal inthemselves and as cheeky as ever, but I have two 20 week old pullets which are in top condition but not laying that I am worried about if there is a problem here!

I would be grateful for some help if possible before another expensive trip to the vet.

Thank you. :wink::wink:

I thought I had a similar problem and posted in this thread:

You can see the yellow poo there. That (in my case) was a caecal poo and if you look at this site it has photos of other caecal poos which are normal:

I was worried but as long as it's not all the time it's ok. (Caecal every 10 or so). You describe it as happening all the time though which can be a problem as Claret mentions in the thread posted.

I'd double check the frequency and if you are still concerned seek a vet just to be sure. Good luck and hope it goes well for you.
