4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

Hello all, Ideally I would like to get all my chickens from Omlet as they are good qiality and vaccinated etc.

 

However as I will first have a eglu run which will house 2 and then increase to a walk in I will fit more in but the second one or two will come later and then I would have to pay a delivery cost of around £25.

 

So does anyone know any good breeders of suitable breeds in the Essex area?

 

Also do they usually come vaccinated or would it just be a case of getting her to the vet?

Ah right that's good to know - will read up before making any commitments.

 

Looks like I am getting a cube so now will be able to get the first 3 (decided 3 for now!) from Omlet delivered with the cube and run. If I then think I want more will get them locally or over the border in Kent is fine too.

You may feel it could be better to buy and introduce all your hens at once. Up to you.

 

Now you just have to decide what to get. How exciting.

Hybrids/pure breeds?

White/blue/green/buff egg layers?

Large fowl/standard/Bantams?
