Tilly Bud Posted February 12, 2009 Share Posted February 12, 2009 I went out about 9am this morning to let my hens out and when i opened my Eglu door, there were 5 eggs on the hay area ! I collected yesterday and didn't even think my Amber Star was laying. My Bluebelle has been laying for a few months now, one egg a day quite regularly, but my Amber Star, who is much younger, has never given us any soft eggs or small eggs as a starter and we've never seen her laying in the Eglu. So when i found 5 eggs this morning i was amazed! My question is, has this ever happened to anyone else? I didn't think it was possible (and i'm very impressed !) Unfortunatly the second egg had a flaw in the shell (small part of it was very thin). They then laid a double yolker (yummy) followed by just one egg a day (odd day missed laying).
