Nicola O Posted February 13, 2009 Share Posted February 13, 2009 Just seen in my local paper a little event that is being run at Barleylands Farm, Billericay, to learn the basics of hen keeping. It's a day thing - starts at 10am - though they are running it all week next week so I think I'll pop along on Monday and see if I can pick up any hints & tips etc. It also says that "The event offers would-be chicken farmers the chance to rent a small patch of land at Barleylands to keep free-range chickens." I like the idea of being able to rent a bit of land, but you'd have to be pretty close to be able to do the necessary bits of husbandry.
