sandyhas3chucks
If a poorly chook is showing some of the symptoms, has seen a good but not Avian specialist vet, would he be able to see the parasite under his microscope or does a sample need to be sent some where? Is retfords the ONLY lab that does testing, there is a vet test lab very near my home though have no idea what they test generally. Would a pooh sample test show if her liver is failing? Just don't know what to do fo the best, if I knew what I was dealing with it might help
Christian
Hi Sandy, Can't answer all your questions, but I would have thought that a blood test is the only way to determine liver function?
sandyhas3chucks
yes of course. See I am not thinking straight. I had to get her up this morning, her crop still full & bigger than previously as she actually ate more. However decided to syringe water in her. WATER warm & Avipro in syringe & she was gasping for a drink. getting on for 1/4 pint in an hour dripped into beak, she wont drink from a bowl, but she is loving the dripping in. Now I don't know whether to JUST get water through her & flush her out or offer cucumber & bokashi. Bokashi being the onlt dry food she will eat.
