Hennubi
Hi all, I saw a post on here a week or two ago compareing bedding but cant find it now.. but I use Newspaper for the tray and nesting box base and have been putting sawdust pet bedding on top.. but they seem to like eating the stuff!? the newspaper gets dragged out and spread around the run and I can see them pecking at the sawdust whether they are laying of not (first egg on sat!! ).. is this normal/bad for them? was thinking of getting something else for bedding but should I be worrying and clear the sawdust out now? Thanks in advance, Becky
Al
I use shredded paper (usually printed stuff) from my husband's work to put in the droppings tray. When I change the tray they always start eating the new shredded paper. Then I change the straw in the next box, so they turn their attention to that and start eating that too This happens every week but they soon get bored of it and only eat a few bits of each. It doesn't seem to harm them. Let's see what others say though...

Egluntyne
I love Aubiose. It is super absorbent and composts nicely. A bale will last you for ages.
Hen Watch
Auboise used here too (nestbox and poop tray). I did switch to shredded paper for a brief while but found 1 girl ate tons of it and she's the one prone to sour crop anyway, so I swapped back to Aubiose.
