AJuff
Has anyone tried fitting a system of roll away eggs in the nest box of a cube? if so how can it be done?

bronze
I don't thinky uo could fit one so it goes outside but you might be able to fit just the one in the nestbox are where it rolls into a covered area
AJuff
I meant in the nest area to keep eggs away from pecking chooks who have taken a liking to eating blue/green eggs. Would a bumper bit prevent eggs from being broken when pecked?

Romany
What about making a two slight wedges out of plywood or something with the lower end having a cover over it but raised up off the base of the ramp at egg-width height? You could put the low ends of the slopes together in the middle and just have the one cover panel, or at each end and have two... Very difficult to explain what I mean without drawing a picture... Also not sure if the chooks would like laying on a slope much... but may be worth a try??
