DH's parents have a newsagents' shop and they'd normally throw these away but they've been saving them for us and they've come in useful for various things, including chitting our potatoes! They're the tubs that the penny sweets come in from the cash and carry. They have lids aswell so you could use them to freeze all the soft fruits you're all growing!

 

If you could find a use for them, why don't you ask your local sweet shop to save you theirs? I'm sure they wouldn't mind

Wow, thanks for that Poet! What a brilliant idea! there is a huge stack of those tubs in the cubby hole at church - they buy the sweeties in bulk for the kids clubs! I must offer to recycle them!

snowy, you could punch some holes in the bottm and use them for seedlings in your fabbo new greenhouse!
