Margalot
Help! - Tinker has become obsessed with eating the others leg feathers. The pecking order had been sorted a long time ago, but this seems different. Tinker has started following BonBon around constantly pecking feathers off her legs, It doesnt seem as aggresive as the bottom pecking and Bon Bon doesnt squawk when she does it but it has made her leg become sore. We have applied purple spray but this and anti peck spray, but this hasnt stopped her. We thought that when they were free ranging it would stop......but no she still follows her head down constantly peck peck. I also hung a pecka block..ignored, they have treats like broccoli, which is eaten then back to leg feathers. I am worried that when we want to go away for a weekend we will come back and find something awful Any suggestions? I would be very grateful ....this is even distressing my OH who denies he loves them!
Egluntyne
Why not put a bumpa bit on the naughty girl? That should sort it out. It is a habit that needs to be stopped tbh. Greens in the run to peck at might provide a distraction.
