hi everyone,

 

i now have my lovely and the run with convertor, I'm just wondering how you manage to do the poo picking as Gladys did the most enormous one this morning (!) and the run is rather long - do you just stick something in on a really long handle?

I just get down on my knees with a disposable rubber glove on.

Then pop it into the compost bin ...... wonderful fertilizer.

I have a run with converter too. I put Auboise bedding down 1" deep on the run floor. All poops are absorbed nicely and I just change the Auboise once a month.

 

In Summer if you have them on grass it's easier as you can move the eglu every few days and hose down the poops into the grass.

thanks, i've got woodchip down on one part as it's paved (soil on the other) and they seem to be burying most of it as they dig through the chips!

We don't have an Eglu run as such, we built a run under our decking which also houses the Eglu. It's big enough and everything but the back end of the run can be hard to reach so we use a hoe to scoop up the thank you parcels.
