chickencam
I would like to get my older 2 to take homemade cereal bars for mid-morning snack but need some inspiration. Most flapjack recipes are very high in fat, so would like to be able to reduce this a bit. Any ideas please.
Lesley
I think the HFW flapjack recipe, mentioned by somebody in another thread, is lower in fat. I don't use it because it uses flour which i have to avoid. It's in his Family Cookbook. If you add dried fruit like cranberries or blueberries and some seeds they will be 'added value'
chickencam
I made the HFW flapjack a couple of days ago with raisins and dried apricots and it went down very well. The added flour makes it more robust so it seems to stand the journey to school
