WitchHazel
I made Nigella's infamous Clementine Cake for the first time last night, and I've just eaten a piece. It's very.....moist. The skewer came out cleanly, so it's definitely cooked. If you've made it, how did you find yours? Is it meant to be this wet? Should I have squeezed out the clementines before processing them? Blackrocksrock
I watched her make it once on tv but not done it - I think its meant to be moist but.... how moist I dont know. Someone will have done it though and will come along soon I am sure - but I bet it tastes great.
WitchHazel
I tried another (small) piece a bit later, and I still didn't like it. My BIL really liked it, so he ate about half the cake yesterday, and he's taken the other half with him today. Buit there is very little food-wise that he doesn't like, so it's not really much of a recommendation I think I'll have to watch out for her series to be repeated on UKTVFood, as I'm sure it will be. Guest
Sounds nice, wonder what it would be like with Satsumas - can't stand clementines myself - even the smell is offputting to me!
WitchHazel
I should think Satsumas would be fine, Nigella has a note somewhere about making it with oranges and lemons, and I'm sure when Iwas trawling the net that fans were saying what other citrus fruits they'd used.
