chrisnrob
Morning! Anyone got a yoghurt maker that you could recommend? Am thinking of getting one and want to know (i) whether they're worth it an (ii) which ones to avoid! Rob
Saronne
Severin makes a reasonable electric yogurt maker - seven small pots. Lakeland makes a 'bulk' yogurt maker (one large pot). It's good, too. 'EasyYo' uses no electricity and comes with mix (starter) which I never used. It's simpler to use real bio-yogurt as your starter. You can google search all of these to buy online. Saronne
Forgot to say, Yes, I think they're worth it if you eat a lot of yogurt! I use organic long-life milk (you don't have to heat it up first), some organic bio yogurt as a starter (one small pot is plenty) and a couple of tablespoons of powdered milk stirred into milk and starter...this helps to thicken it without adding to the calorie content. It's a fairly straightforward process which is ready in about 6-8 hours. Just make sure your starter yogurt is fresh for the best results... Lesley
I use the Lakeland bulk one - always found it easy to use and with good results. I've now found organic milk powder to add to the organic milk and starter.

Saronne x It's Evernat (French unfortunately ) - I found it in the local wholefood shop. I think Goodness Direct stock it as well.
cherryblossom
I have an easyo. I used two tablespoons of the mix you get for it and two cups of milk powder.
